Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gilbert Yvel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winston Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yvel pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Wallace lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Yvel circles away quickly and effectively.

Yvel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Yvel has control of Wallace's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wallace regains control of the situation pretty easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Wallace decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yvel's guard.
Yvel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wallace closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Yvel did well to prevent Wallace getting side control.

Wallace seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Yvel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Yvel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wallace's guard.
Wallace is not content to let Yvel control the position.

Wallace is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Yvel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Yvel's back!
