Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ren Akita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anus Saukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anus Saukko will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ren Akita!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anus Saukko!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saukko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Akita moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Saukko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Akita shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Akita stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saukko swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Akita pushes down on Saukko's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Saukko won't allow Akita to pass to mount.
Akita moves into full mount! Saukko won't be happy about that!

Saukko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Akita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Akita jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Saukko manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Saukko is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Akita has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Saukko is working to avoid the ground and pound but Akita connects with a decent elbow.
Akita has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Saukko!
Akita has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Akita working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Saukko turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Akita off and cradles Saukko's limp body as Akita celebrates with his corner.
