Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wes Tinsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Let's Be Friends kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Wes Tinsley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tinsley throws a series of punches but Mitchell moves out of range.

Mitchell shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tinsley is trying to defend but Mitchell finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Mitchell thows a huge punch but Tinsley dodges it nicely.
Mitchell wants to stand up but Tinsley is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mitchell missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Mitchell tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Mitchell looking for a submission but Tinsley manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Mitchell postures up in Tinsley's guard and throws a big left but Tinsley blocks it.
Mitchell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tinsley goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mitchell blocks a head kick by Tinsley.
Mitchell keeps the fight on the outside.
Mitchell tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tinsley was well out of range. Poor timing from Mitchell.
Tinsley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mitchell connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Tinsley doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Mitchell counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Tinsley is breathing heavily.

Mitchell breaks from the clinch.
Mitchell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tinsley counters with a left and a right that stings Mitchell.

Mitchell closes the distance and pushes Tinsley back into the cage.
Mitchell is trying to drag Tinsley to the mat but Tinsley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Tinsley tries to pull guard but Mitchell won't allow it.
Tinsley tries to pull guard but Mitchell holds him up against the cage and eventually Tinsley drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wes Tinsley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mitchell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mitchell throws a series of punches but Tinsley moves out of range.
Tinsley takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Mitchell lands a jab to Tinsley's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tinsley tries to keep at a distance but Mitchell has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tinsley misses with a punch to the body.
Tinsley goes for a takedown attempt but Mitchell pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dave Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mitchell throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Tinsley counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mitchell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Mitchell pushes Tinsley off and gets back to his feet.
