Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lamb Chop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Fauteux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lamb Chop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyle Fauteux!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fauteux moves in looking to clinch but Chop pushes him off.
Chop throws a wild body kick that Fauteux sees coming a mile off.
Chop closes the distance but Fauteux moves to the side
and Fauteux counters with a left and a right that stings Chop.
Chop misses with a combination
and Fauteux counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chop looks to land a body kick but Fauteux moved away.
Fauteux steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Chop. That one must have hurt.
Chop throws a sloppy head kick and Fauteux moves out of range easily.
Fauteux throws a series of punches but Chop moves out of range.
Chop tries to clinch
and Fauteux counters with a nice body shot.
Chop misses with a head kick.
Fauteux tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chop swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Chop lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chop slips a jab and a cross from Fauteux.
Chop really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fauteux has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Chop is proving hard to escape from.

Fauteux postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chop is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fauteux, into his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fauteux scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Fauteux counters by moving into the clinch.
Chop manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
A frustrated look appears on Fauteux's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Fauteux takes a knee right on the jaw!


It looks like Kyle Fauteux has been cut.
Chop misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Fauteux.
Chop is pushing Fauteux up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Fauteux escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Fauteux counters by moving into the clinch.
Chop misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Fauteux.
Chop effectively controlling the action here.
Fauteux is trying to drag Chop to the mat but Chop just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Chop gets underhooks to prevent Fauteux's takedown attempt.

Chop pushes off an throws an elbow but Fauteux leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Lamb Chop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Fauteux.

and Fauteux counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fauteux seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chop does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Chop moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lamb Chop will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Fauteux has gone for a leg lock! Chop slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fauteux's guard.

Chop is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Fauteux is looking to regain half guard here but Chop keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chop stands up and beckons Fauteux to his feet.
Chop ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fauteux moves away.
Fauteux walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chop checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Chop fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Fauteux.

Chop is trying to stall.
Fauteux wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Chop has him pressed against the cage.

Lamb Chop is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fauteux wants to stand up but Chop has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Fauteux seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chop does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Fauteux working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Chop's thigh. Chop counters though and makes it back to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fauteux takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Fauteux on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Chop tries a knee to the head but Fauteux blocks it.

Fauteux goes for a takedown in the clinch but Chop prevents it.
Chop utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kyle Fauteux has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fauteux swings wildly with an uppercut but Chop uses good head movement to avoid it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lamb Chop.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chop, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
