Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Kuto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Borracha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Randy Kuto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paulo Borracha!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuto drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kuto slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Borracha keeping moving, preventing Kuto from controlling successfully.
Kuto preventing the sweep.
Borracha is looking to stand up but Kuto isn't so interested in that idea.
Kuto wants to pass the guard but Borracha is keeping the position.
Kuto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Borracha is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Borracha wants to stand up but Kuto is controlling the position.
Kuto tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Borracha is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kuto tries to roll over but Borracha keeps him under control.
Kuto keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Kuto is not content to let Borracha control the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Borracha doesn't manage to clinch there - Kuto circles away.
Kuto steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Borracha.
Paulo Borracha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Borracha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kuto can't get the takedown.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kuto takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Borracha lands with a right to the head.
Kuto is working for takedown but Borracha is calmly controlling the position for now.

Borracha postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Kuto has a closed guard, preventing Borracha from standing up.
Kuto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Borracha's guard.
Kuto lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kuto works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Borracha is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kuto is controlling him well.

Borracha is looking for a sweep.

Kuto connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Borracha some visible discomfort.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kuto is looking to take a break and control but Borracha is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Borracha gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Borracha gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee asks Kuto politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kuto prefers to stall for the moment though.

Kuto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Borracha on the ground.

Kuto seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Borracha for as long as he can get away with.
Kuto's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Randy Kuto just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Borracha has hold of Kuto's hands but Kuto slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kuto is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Borracha is looking for a sweep. Kuto is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, if Kuto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kuto tries to pass the half guard into mount. Borracha knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Randy Kuto dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Kuto shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Borracha is trying to defend but Kuto finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Borracha is in trouble now - Kuto has advanced to mount!
Borracha is squirming around, avoiding Kuto's attempts to control the action.
Borracha is in a horrible position here. Kuto smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Kuto pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Borracha is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Kuto! Borracha is hurt baaadly! Kuto is firing away with more strikes - Borracha is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Randy Kuto!
