The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rousseff misses with a jab, cross combination.
Strange shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rousseff sprawls well. Rousseff wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Strange gets slowly back to his feet.
Strange takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

It looks like Ben Strange has been cut.
Strange misses with a head kick.
Rousseff fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Strange looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rousseff is fending him off so far but Strange persists. Nope, Rousseff circles away and we're back to standing.

Strange is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rousseff is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Strange.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rousseff lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Strange is still on wobbly legs! Can Rousseff finish him?

That has opened up Ben Strange's cut even more.
Strange dives in and grabs Rousseff's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rousseff pushes down on Strange's head and hops out.
Strange seems to have recovered his senses.
Rousseff scores with a jab to the body.
Rousseff bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Strange's head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Strange keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Strange shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rousseff pinned against the cage. Rousseff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A jab from Rousseff does it's job there.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Strange might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Rousseff has got the better of the exchanges.

Rousseff drops Strange with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Strange looks back up at him and smiles so Rousseff waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The cut above Ben Strange's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
A jab from Rousseff finds it's way through Strange's defenses.
Strange closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rousseff circles away.

Ben Strange's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Rousseff wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters circle momentarily. Rousseff darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
