Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Foe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Foe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jesse James!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with James, pushing him back against the cage.

Foe gets control of James's arms and successfully pulls guard. Foe will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
James is looking to stand up but Foe won't let him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Foe working for a triangle but James defends it easily.

Foe has his foot on James's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. James works his way back into a safe position though.

Foe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. James doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. James manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Foe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. James gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

James has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Foe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

James drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. James seems to have locked his on tight now - Foe screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for James, as he picks up the win!
