Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gay Al (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louey Draft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Al looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Draft is refusing to be controlled, as Al sits in half guard.
Draft tries to roll over but Al keeps him under control.
Draft pushes Al off looking to stand but Al dives back in and keeps control.
Draft has hold of Al's hands but Al slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Draft is looking to escape.
Al not doing much here.
Al looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Al keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Draft is trying to stand back up but Al is controlling him
Draft keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Draft takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Al wants to finish this one by submission but Draft is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Al.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Al lands a nice shot to the head.

Draft's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

You get the feeling that Draft really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Al postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Draft looks a forlorn figure.
Draft is trying desperately to improve position.
Draft tries to lock up and control but Al gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Draft is looking to get to half guard.
Al trying to control but Draft is having none of it.
Draft tries to reverse the position but Al maintains control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Al breaks from Draft's wrist control and lands an elbow.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Nice sprawl there from Draft as Al shoots in.
Draft scores with a decent looking hook.
Al fails to land the takedown.
Draft tries to clinch but Al is having none of it.
Draft misses with a jab, cross combination.

Draft leaves Al with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Nice body kick there by Draft.
Draft shoots in for a takedown but Al shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gay Al is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Draft will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Good leg kick by Draft there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Draft tries to bum rush Al with a series of wild strikes but Al uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Draft counters with a one-two to the body.
Draft throws a right hand that Al ducks under and follows up with a left that Al also avoids with ease.

Al gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Draft to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Draft gets to his feet. Al looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Al closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Al lands in his opponent's guard.

Louey Draft showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Al is looking for a triangle but Draft pushes his legs off easily.
Draft has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Al is proving hard to escape from.

Draft is sitting in close to Al's body. Al has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Draft is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Draft is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Al.
