Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and lonnie jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jefferson pushes Payne away with a front kick.
Payne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. jefferson tries to avoid it but Payne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag jefferson to the ground. jefferson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Some bone on bone action there as jefferson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
jefferson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Max Payne has been cut.
Payne is looking to clinch but jefferson is avoiding it.

and Payne counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for jefferson!

Payne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in jefferson's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
