Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gay Al!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Kosneck!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decent striking displayed by Al there.

Al goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Kosneck is on top in guard.

Kosneck drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kosneck jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Al is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Al shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kosneck sprawls well. Kosneck wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Al gets slowly back to his feet.

Kosneck is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Al's half guard.
Kosneck is looking to take a break and control but Al is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kosneck is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Al is just riding it out for now. Kosneck eventually gives up the hold.

Kosneck postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Al is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kosneck, into his guard.

Kosneck controls Al momentarily but Al frees himself.
Kosneck wants to sweep but no luck.
Kosneck keeping moving, preventing Al from controlling successfully.
Al won't allow Kosneck to get back to his feet.
Al works over Kosneck with some ground and pound from guard.
Al distracts Kosneck with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kosneck wants to stand and escape but Al is having none of it.

Al thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Kosneck gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Al to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Al has gone for a leg lock! Kosneck slips out almost immediately though and dives into Al's guard.

Kosneck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Al swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gay Al overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Kosneck not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Al working for a triangle but Kosneck defends it easily.
Kosneck wants to pass the guard but Al is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Kosneck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Al shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Al is thwarting Kosneck's attempts to control the position.

Al is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kosneck sees it coming and defends easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Al. Kosneck does a little dance to reset his feet.
Al looks to land a combination but Kosneck avoids it well.

Al gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kosneck wants to control from the top but Al keeps moving.

Al escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kosneck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kosneck is looking to work some ground and pound but Al has wrist control.

Al not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kosneck drops back looking for a leg! Al is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Al manages to kick Kosneck off! Kosneck jumps back into Al's guard.

Al is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kosneck is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Al is trying to escape and Kosneck transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Al is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kosneck! Very nice indeed!
