Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deni Kres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jericho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kres comes to the cage accompanied by hate me now. The key to victory for Deni Kres has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Deni Kres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andrew Jericho!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jericho tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kres sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jericho somewhat.
Kres throws a right hand that Jericho ducks under and follows up with a left that Jericho also avoids with ease.

Jericho takes the fight into the clinch.
Jericho is looking to break free of the clinch but Kres has double underhooks.

Kres breaks from the clinch.
Jericho shoots for a takedown but Kres saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kres keeps the fight on the outside.

Kres gets caught flat footed, as Jericho shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Jericho wants to control from the top but Kres keeps moving.

Jericho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jericho slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kres wants to stand but Jericho is controlling the position.
Jericho trying to move into half guard but instead Kres has managed to sweep!
Kres wants to control from the top but Jericho keeps moving.
Jericho has his hands on Kres's head, controlling the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jericho keeping moving, preventing Kres from controlling successfully.
Kres is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jericho is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kres missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jericho on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jericho swings for the body but Kres moves out of range.
Kres stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kres wants it to stay on the feet.
Deni Kres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Jericho.
Jericho is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Jericho tries for a takedown but Kres sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Kres sizes up Jericho with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Jericho throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Danga de danga de dang - Kres scores with a four punch combination!
Jericho misses the shot to the body.
Kres swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jericho tries to close the distance and clinch but Kres swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kres misses with a double jab.
Jericho looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kres throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jericho doesn't manage to clinch there - Kres circles away.
Jericho tries to clinch up
enabling Kres to counter with a crisp jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deni Kres dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

and Kres counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Kres jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kres throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kres throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jericho.

Kres moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Kres is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jericho is defending well for now.
Kres keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jericho's efforts to push away.

It looks like Andrew Jericho has been cut.
Jericho is breathing heavily.
Kres throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Kres breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Deni Kres is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A combination from Kres does no damage.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kres. That's going to slow Jericho down.
Kres dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

and Kres counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jericho's knee momentarily.

Jericho takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Deni Kres is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kres tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jericho swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kres throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Kres darts in and clinches Jericho up against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Kres as the two fighters clinch.
Kres lands an uppercut.

Kres breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kres scores with a hook to the body. Jericho takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Jericho blocks a head kick by Kres.
Kres lands with a cross.
Jericho has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kres scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Jericho tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kres lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Jericho takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

and Kres counters with a three punch combo that has Jericho backing up. Jericho nods at Kres to acknowledge the strikes.
Kres looks to land a combination but Jericho avoids it well.

and Kres counters with a body kick that stops Jericho in his tracks momentarily.

Kres tries a head kick but it misses.
Kres's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Kres duly obliges.
Kres moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kres looks to land a combination. Jericho sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kres swats away the attempt to clinch by Jericho.

Jericho with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kres to score with a decent uppercut.

Andrew Jericho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kres stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Jericho takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kres tries to clinch up but Jericho circles away and keeps his distance.
Kres throws out a powerful jab.
Jericho has his takedown stuffed
and Kres counters with a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice straight punches there by Kres. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kres.
Kres buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Kres tries to clinch but Jericho is having none of it.
Kres scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kres lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Kres!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jericho crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kres - the referee stops the clock and Jericho gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kres. Jericho manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Kres connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jericho's hands.
Kres tries to clinch up but Jericho circles away and keeps his distance.
Kres is working the combinations to good effect here.
A nice combination there by Kres.
Deni Kres is winning the standup battle so far.

Kres gets a clinch.
Jericho jumps guard but Kres stands there with Jericho around his waist. Jericho gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jericho is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kres pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kres digs a right hand into Jericho's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jericho's gas tank.

and Kres counters with a nice body kick.
Kres stalks Jericho and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jericho's face. Jericho staggers backwards, shaken.
Jericho shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kres counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Deni Kres is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Andrew Jericho has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jericho has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

and Kres counters with a one-two to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kres comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kres lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jericho takes a step back to recover.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kres, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
