The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taheri keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vampire.
Vampire looks to land a left hand but Taheri moved out of range nicely.

Taheri drives through and clinches with Vampire against the ropes.
Taheri drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taheri controlling the action here for a moment.
Vampire scores with a nice hook to the head.

Vampire lands a left hand that snaps the head of Taheri backwards.
Vampire lands an elbow just above Taheri 's eye.

It looks like Tayeb Taheri has been cut.
Taheri tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vampire just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Vampire lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Vampire lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Taheri drops down looking for an ankle pick but Vampire pulls his leg out and moves away.

Taheri looks for a takedown but Vampire sprawls well.
Vampire circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vampire stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A slow jab from Vampire misses its intended target.
No joy there for Vampire, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tayeb Taheri's cut is getting worse.

Vampire lands a big head kick that sends Taheri tumbling to the mat! Vampire takes a step backwards and waves Taheri back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Taheri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Oh Taheri is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vampire defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Taheri.
Taheri seems to have got his legs back now.
Vampire throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Vampire cracks Taheri with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Taheri looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Vampire finish him?

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vampire lands a big right hand that sends Taheri crashing to the mat! Vampire stays standing though and waves Taheri back to his feet!

Tayeb Taheri's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Taheri shoots in and bounces Vampire off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Vampire wants to sweep but no luck.

Vampire is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Taheri is aware though and is defending well.

Vampire is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Taheri trying to control the position from guard on top but Vampire is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Taheri is pushing down on Vampire's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vampire is fighting to maintain full guard but Taheri has managed to sneak the leg through.
Vampire tries to roll over but Taheri keeps him under control.
Taheri tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vampire knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Taheri prevents Vampire from improving his position.
Taheri wants to take a breather but Vampire is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Vampire dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Taheri tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vampire sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taheri somewhat.
Nice sprawl there from Vampire as Taheri shoots in.
Taheri is breathing heavily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vampire lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Vampire.
Taheri walks into a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taheri tries to clinch up but Vampire circles away and keeps his distance.

Jeez, Tayeb Taheri's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The crowd cheers as Vampire lands an impressive looking overhand right. Taheri doesn't seem phased though.
Vampire throws a hook but Taheri blocks it.
Taheri tries to close the distance and clinch but Vampire swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fighters circling - Vampire throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tayeb Taheri is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Taheri dodges the punch combination from Vampire.
Vampire uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tayeb Taheri's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
