Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Gantrain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gantrain has chosen Animal I have Become as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Roberto Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Gantrain!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Gantrain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gracie dives in and grabs Gantrain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gantrain pushes down on Gracie's head and hops out.
Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gantrain.

Gracie drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gracie has gone for a leg lock! Gantrain slips out almost immediately though and dives into Gracie's guard.
Gantrain trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gantrain is stalling in the full guard.
Gantrain trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gracie's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gantrain's waist but Gantrain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roberto Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.
Gantrain misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gantrain circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie.
Gantrain stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.
Gracie avoids the head kick by Gantrain.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Gantrain shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gantrain as he avoids it easily.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Gracie takes a swing at Gantrain's ribcage but misses.

Gantrain pushes Gracie up against the ropes in a clinch.
Gantrain goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gracie prevents it.
Gracie drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gantrain gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gracie drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Gracie goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gantrain prevents it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gracie wants a takedown but no success here.
Gracie goes for a takedown attempt but Gantrain pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gantrain swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gantrain swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Gracie misses with a shot to the body

and Gantrain counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Gantrain dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Gantrain counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gracie's guard now.
Gantrain looking to sit in guard and control but Gracie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gantrain is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Gantrain is keeping the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gantrain looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gantrain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gantrain!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gantrain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
Gracie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Gantrain is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Gantrain is breathing heavily.
Gracie is concentrating on defense, preventing Gantrain from advancing position.
Gantrain is looking to advance position but Gracie won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gracie is controlling Gantrain's trapped leg to prevent Gantrain from advancing to side control.
Gracie is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Gracie gets back to full guard.
Gracie has Gantrain pulled in close to control his posture.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gantrain manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gracie trying to control but Gantrain is working from the bottom.
Gantrain can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Gracie passes to side control.
Gantrain is not content to let Gracie control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gracie wants to control for a moment but Gantrain uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Gantrain is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gracie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gantrain!

Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Gantrain is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Gantrain and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Gracie has an Americana. Gantrain didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Gracie is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Gracie hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
