The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kray shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kray showed some decent athleticism there.
Kray wants to lay and pray for a moment but Monroe keeps working.
Monroe wants to get back to full guard.
Kray throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Kray stops Monroe from getting back to his feet.
Kray is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Kray wants to take a breather but Monroe is having none of it.
Monroe is trying to maintain the position but Kray is very close to passing his half guard.
Monroe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kray.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kray avoids the head kick by Monroe.
Kray checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Kray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Monroe sprawls well initially but Kray persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Monroe wants to improve his position but Kray is controlling well.
Kray wants to control but Monroe is keeping him busy.
Monroe blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kray.
Monroe is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kray scores with a couple of nice shots.
Monroe manages to get to full guard.
Monroe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kray is controlling him.
Monroe looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kray working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Monroe's head.

Kray throwing strikes but missing.
Kray trying to control the position from guard on top but Monroe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Monroe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Monroe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kray loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kray takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kray on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Monroe takes one to the chin there.
Kray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Monroe as he jumps to the side.
Monroe cracks Kray with a right hand to the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Kray throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Monroe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kray closes this distance looking for a takedown but Monroe circles away.
Kray moves out of range as Monroe throws a body kick.
Kray fails with a takedown attempt.
Carlos Monroe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronald Kray.

Kray blocks a head kick by Monroe.
Monroe throws a head kick that Kray semi-blocks.

It looks like Ronald Kray has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Monroe checks a low kick from Kray.
Kray dives in and grabs Monroe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Monroe pushes down on Kray's head and hops out.
Kray looks gassed!
Monroe stuffs the takedown.
Monroe looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Monroe lands a jab to Kray's midsection.
Look low, kick high! Monroe uses the oldest trick in the book to send Kray tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Monroe is absolutely delighted - when Kray wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
