Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roshdy Abaza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Donkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Donkers has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Roshdy Abaza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Manny Donkers!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abaza avoids a punch combination nicely.
Donkers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Abaza tries to close the distance and clinch up but Donkers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Abaza throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Donkers blocks the leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Abaza.
Abaza fails to land with a series of punches.
Abaza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Donkers as he jumps to the side.
Donkers moves away from the strike by Abaza.
Abaza swings for the body but Donkers moves out of range.
Donkers fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Abaza changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Donkers tries to avoid it but Abaza manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Donkers to the ground. Donkers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roshdy Abaza. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Abaza counters with a right hand to the body.

Donkers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Abaza to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Abaza controls Donkers momentarily but Donkers frees himself.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Roshdy Abaza will probably get the nod.

Manny Donkers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Abaza takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Abaza is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roshdy Abaza.
I think Abaza has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
