Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Zarch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mendez Papillion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Mendez Papillion enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mendez Papillion!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papillion thumps Zarch with a low kick.
Papillion scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
No luck for Zarch with that takedown attempt.
Papillion looks to land a left hand but Zarch moved out of range nicely.

Papillion moves into the clinch.
Papillion lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Zarch backwards.
Papillion with a knee to the head.

It looks like Chris Zarch has been cut.
Zarch tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Papillion smiles and moves away.

Papillion forces Zarch back against the cage and clinches.

Papillion scores a nice knee to the body.
Zarch jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Papillion walks away with a smile on his face. Zarch gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Zarch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zarch shoots for a takedown but Papillion saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Papillion misses the shot to the body.
Papillion rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zarch moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Papillion bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zarch's head.
Papillion fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zarch looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Papillion is fending him off so far but Zarch persists. Nope, Papillion circles away and we're back to standing.

Papillion looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Zarch!
Papillion is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Zarch can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Papillion controlling the pace for now.
Papillion cracks Zarch with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Papillion takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Papillion lands a big shot there that rocks Zarch but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Papillion postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Zarch looks a forlorn figure.
Zarch tries to reverse the position but Papillion maintains control.
Zarch is trying to stand.
Papillion controlling the position easily from mount.
Papillion pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Zarch tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Zarch takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Papillion looking to finish Zarch with some ground and pound. This is bad for Zarch!
Zarch is trying to stand.
Zarch is breathing heavily.
Papillion controlling the position easily from mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Papillion tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zarch is looking to improve his position but Papillion isn't that keen on the idea.
Papillion connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Zarch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Papillion counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Papillion lands a front kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Papillion lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Papillion tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Papillion moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Zarch ducks straight into an uppercut from Papillion and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Zarch manages to regain guard straight away.

Zarch is rocked!

Papillion decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Zarch, up you get!
Oh Zarch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Papillion throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Zarch is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
