Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between DJ Denn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Penn has chosen Heavier than metal as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, DJ Denn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJ Penn!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A looping hook to the body misses from Denn. Penn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Penn stuffs the takedown.
Denn swinging wildly here.
Penn missing with a left hand there. Denn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Denn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Penn but Penn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Denn misses with a double jab.
Denn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Denn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Penn tries to avoid it but Denn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Penn to the ground. Penn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for DJ Denn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Denn lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nice sprawl there from Penn as Denn shoots in.
Denn throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Penn connects with a single shot there.

Penn lands with a nice body punch.
Denn throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Penn swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Denn moves out of range of the strikes.
Denn fails to land with a series of punches.
Denn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Penn lands a glancing blow to the side of Denn's head.
Penn connects with the punch.
Denn has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Penn finds it's way round the side to connect with Denn's head.
BJ Penn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Denn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Penn swivels and escapes.
Denn seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Penn shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Denn is backing up but Penn catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Denn covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Penn Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
