PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Logan Punish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Candinni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Logan Punish has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Logan Punish seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Candinni throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Punish was covering up waiting for the punch and Candinni finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Punish is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Candinni trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Candinni's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Candinni thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Candinni wants to control from the top but Punish keeps moving.
Candinni tries to stand but Punish is controlling from the bottom.
Candinni has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Candinni misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Punish tries to close the distance and clinch but Candinni swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Punish doesn't manage to clinch there - Candinni circles away.
Punish takes a shot right to the bread basket.
No luck for Candinni with that takedown attempt.
Punish tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Candinni paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Candinni avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Candinni shoots for a double leg takedown but Punish sprawls well. He's pushed Candinni's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Punish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Candinni swats him away and circles back towards the center.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Logan Punish has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Candinni.
Punish stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Punish wants it to stay on the feet.
Punish wants to clinch but Candinni slips to the side

and Candinni counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Candinni seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Punish tries to roll over but Candinni keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Punish makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Punish.

Punish looking for a triangle here. Candinni is fighting it but it looks tight! Punish pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Candinni is tapping out - this one is all over!
