Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scabby Bat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and henry five (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scabby Bat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, henry five!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
five looks for the body kick but Bat saw that one coming.
Bat tries to close the distance and clinch but five swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
five misses the shot to the body.
five throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bat sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bat throws a body punch but five moves out of range.
Bat fails to land the takedown.

five closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bat is trying to control five's posture but five avoids it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Bat's face as five controls the position.
five is working Bat over with some ground and pound from side control.
A lull in the action here as five stalls from top position.
five scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bat to see if he's OK.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Bat seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Despite being in the dominant position, henry five just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bat is fighting to break five's control of his arms but five is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
five tried to score with a low kick but Bat checks it.

five postures up and lands a big shot to Bat's brow.
five sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bat's guard.
Bat on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

five lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
five is nestled in close to Bat, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Bat on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bat tries to get out of the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

henry five comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well five has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
