Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bryan Lakovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuu Kokoro!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Lakovski as Kokoro shoots in.
Kokoro blocks a head kick by Lakovski.

Lakovski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kokoro napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lakovski decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Kokoro closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kokoro misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Lakovski.
Lakovski just leaning against Kokoro, taking a breather.
Kokoro wants a takedown but no success here.
Kokoro tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Kokoro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lakovski walks away with a smile on his face. Kokoro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kokoro wants to get back to full guard.
Kokoro is trying to maintain the position but Lakovski is very close to passing his half guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lakovski moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Lakovski keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bryan Lakovski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lakovski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kokoro as he avoids it easily.
Lakovski shoots for a double leg takedown but Kokoro sprawls well. He's pushed Lakovski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kokoro tries to pull guard but Lakovski holds him up against the cage and eventually Kokoro drops back down to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Lakovski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kokoro throwing strikes from guard but Lakovski blocks nicely.
Lakovski wants to hit a switch here but Kokoro passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lakovski there!
Lakovski on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lakovski tries to get out of the position.
Kokoro avoids the attempt from Lakovski to control.
Lakovski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kokoro on the ground.
A nice elbow there by Kokoro.

Lakovski can't escape the position.

Kokoro has control of Lakovski's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lakovski regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kokoro throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lakovski because Kokoro loaded up on that one.
Lakovski manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kokoro throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lakovski tries to roll over but Kokoro keeps him under control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lakovski manages to get to full guard.
Lakovski has a closed guard, preventing Kokoro from standing up.
Kokoro with a flurry of punches that miss.
Lakovski manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kokoro in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Lakovski dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Kokoro goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Bryan Lakovski is winning the standup battle so far.
Lakovski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kokoro tries to avoid it but Lakovski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kokoro to the ground. Kokoro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kokoro fails with the takedown.
Kokoro tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Lakovski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Kokoro is looking to improve his position.
Lakovski is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Lakovski landing strikes from the mount and Kokoro is in trouble!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lakovski content just to control the position here.

Kokoro tries to improve his position but Lakovski has taken his back! Lakovski has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Kokoro tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Lakovski pushes Kokoro away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
