Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandro Noessler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Veselui Udarnik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veselui Udarnik will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sandro Noessler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Veselui Udarnik!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Udarnik.
Udarnik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Noessler paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Noessler. No joy for Udarnik on that attempt.
Udarnik swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Noessler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Udarnik avoids it really well and circles away.
Noessler shoots in but Udarnik avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Udarnik wants to clinch.

Noessler gets the takedown into side control.
Udarnik wants to get back to his feet but Noessler drags him back down.
Noessler controlling from side mount.
Udarnik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Noessler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Noessler decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Noessler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Udarnik moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Noessler shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Udarnik manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Udarnik is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Noessler works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Noessler is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Udarnik has managed to free his arm - good work.
Udarnik tries to kick Noessler off but Noessler keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Noessler is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Noessler is breathing heavily.
Udarnik wants to get back to his feet.

Noessler is keen to just control but Udarnik is a slippery customer.
Noessler missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Udarnik tries to kick Noessler off but Noessler keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Udarnik fails in his attempt to clinch.
Noessler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Udarnik moves away.
Udarnik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Noessler paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sandro Noessler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Veselui Udarnik.

Noessler breaks the clinch.
Noessler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Udarnik as he jumps to the side.
Udarnik tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Noessler counters with a thumping low kick.
Noessler swats away the attempt to clinch by Udarnik.
Udarnik throws a series of punches but Noessler avoids them all with ease.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Udarnik misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Udarnik shoots in looking for a takedown. Noessler tries to sprawl out of it but Udarnik keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Noessler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Noessler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Udarnik should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

and Noessler moves into the clinch.
Udarnik wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Noessler has him pressed against the cage.
Noessler changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Udarnik fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Udarnik misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Noessler shoots in but Udarnik avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandro Noessler dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Udarnik misses with a few strikes there.
Noessler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Udarnik tries to avoid it but Noessler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Udarnik to the ground. Udarnik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Noessler here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

and Noessler counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Udarnik's guard now.
Noessler forces his way into half guard.
Noessler takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Udarnik looks like he's trying to stand up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Noessler is trying to control. Udarnik wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Udarnik is trying to stand.
Noessler is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Udarnik wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Noessler is defended easily by Udarnik.
Udarnik will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Noessler.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sandro Noessler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Udarnik misses with a combination

and Noessler counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Udarnik goes for a takedown attempt but Noessler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Noessler clinches up with Udarnik and pushes him back against the cage.
Udarnik wants a takedown.
Udarnik jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Noessler walks away with a smile on his face. Udarnik gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Noessler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Noessler lands in his opponent's guard.
Udarnik wants to get back to his feet but Noessler passes into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Udarnik tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Noessler manages to move to mount!
Udarnik is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Udarnik wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Noessler has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Udarnik taps furiously! This one is all over!
