Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Burgemeister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Simons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burgemeister comes into the arena with Lil Scrappy - Head Bussa blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgemeister connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A left lands for Burgemeister.
Burgemeister misses with a few strikes there.
Simons closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Simons lands in his opponent's guard.
Simons sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Burgemeister's guard.
Simons works his way into full mount!
Simons tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burgemeister wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Simons is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Burgemeister has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Simons has control of Burgemeister's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Burgemeister regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Simons tries to clinch up.
Simons tries for a takedown but Burgemeister sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Burgemeister comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

A clash of legs there as Simons blocks the low kick.
Simons throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burgemeister's waist but Burgemeister gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simons off to one side.
Burgemeister misses with a straight left.

Burgemeister throws a body punch but Simons moves out of range.
Simons fails with the takedown.
Daniel Burgemeister has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Simons.
Burgemeister throws a right hand that Simons ducks under and follows up with a left that Simons also avoids with ease.

Simons shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Burgemeister as he avoids it easily.
Simons misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Burgemeister connects with a body shot.
Simons shoots for a takedown but Burgemeister saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Simons.
Burgemeister keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Simons takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A left and a right from Burgemeister both land. Nice combination.
Simons has closed the distance and engaged Burgemeister in a clinch.
Simons tries to pull guard but Burgemeister won't allow it.
Simons tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
