The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lebedev gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jay to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jay drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jay jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Jay drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lebedev looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lebedev looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lebedev!

Jay takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Lebedev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jay is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lebedev throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Jay works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Jay is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lebedev's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lebedev's back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lebedev is trying to break free.

Jay is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Lebedev with him. Lebedev is trying to defend but Jay has an arm under the chin now! Lebedev grimaces and is forced to tap out!
