Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Magomed Aliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romanov has chosen Dawaj na Ring as his entrance music. Romanov has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Magomed Aliev looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Aliev is trying to drag Romanov to the mat but Romanov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Romanov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Romanov lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Aliev had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Romanov defends it easily.
Romanov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aliev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Romanov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aliev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Romanov has managed to get both his arms back between Aliev's legs - danger averted.
