And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lennon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mash defends it nicely.
Lennon slaps away a takedown attempt from Mash, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mash closes the distance but Lennon moves to the side

and Lennon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mash's guard.
Mash doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Lennon slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mash pushes Lennon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Lennon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lennon makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Lennon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Richard Lennon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Lennon jumps guard and drags Mash to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Lennon wants to sweep here but Mash controlling him for the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Lennon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mash doesn't manage to clinch there - Lennon circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Lennon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Mash has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lennon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lennon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

and Mash decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lennon's guard.
Mash in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Mash stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Lennon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lennon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mash is trying to defend but Lennon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Mash kicks Lennon off and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lennon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mash manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lennon cracks Mash with a solid left hand.
Lennon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Lennon looking to sit in guard and control but Mash gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Mash stands and steps away. Lennon gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Lennon catches Mash with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lennon lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Mash closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mash fails to pull guard.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lennon takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Lennon tries to score a body lock takedown but Mash shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mash is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Mash has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lennon uses from the top position.

Lennon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Mash pushes Lennon off looking to stand but Lennon dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lennon tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Lennon is just content to waste time from the top position. Mash takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Lennon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
