The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Penn is defended easily by Zeldenthuis.
Zeldenthuis connects with a right hand. Penn shakes it off.
Zeldenthuis cracks Penn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Zeldenthuis shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Penn is trying to defend but Zeldenthuis finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zeldenthuis is pressing down on Penn's thigh, looking to free his foot. Penn is holding on for now.
Zeldenthuis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zeldenthuis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zeldenthuis's back!
