Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cracker Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shante Franklin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Cracker Joe has been cut.
Franklin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Joe looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Franklin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Franklin scores with a jab to the head.
Joe avoids the body shot from Franklin.
Joe takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Joe is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Joe shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Franklin clinches up against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Franklin.
The referee calls for Franklin to work.
Nice body punch from Franklin - that landed with a thud.
Franklin throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Franklin stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Joe's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Franklin lands with a short shot to the head.
Joe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Franklin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Franklin scores with a shoulder strike.
A nice right hand lands inside from Franklin.
Franklin lands an uppercut.
Franklin slows down the pace here.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Shante Franklin.

Franklin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Franklin stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Franklin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Franklin just leaning against Joe, taking a breather.
Franklin lands a body shot.
Franklin stalling in the clinch.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Shante Franklin.
Franklin lands with an uppercut that bounces Joe off the cage and back into rage.

Franklin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Joe sprawling to the canvas! Joe rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Franklin finish him?!


Joe is rocked!


Cracker Joe's cut is getting worse.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Joe leaves his chin hanging out and Franklin seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Joe crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shante Franklin!
