The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singleton lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Tom Boy has been cut.
Boy swinging wildly here.
Boy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

No joy there for Boy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boy looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Singleton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Singleton lands in his opponent's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Boy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Singleton is pushing down on Boy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Boy is fighting to maintain full guard but Singleton has managed to sneak the leg through.

Singleton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boy defends it well.
Singleton moves nicely into side control.
Boy is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Boy is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Singleton has taken his back.

Singleton is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Boy has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Singleton has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Boy taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Singleton doesn't care though - he's delighted!
