Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ebenezer Medeiros!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Charlie Shifflett!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shifflett throws a series of punches but Medeiros avoids them all with ease.
Medeiros tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Medeiros is looking to clinch but Shifflett is avoiding it.

Medeiros closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Medeiros connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Shifflett some visible discomfort.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Medeiros looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Shifflett tries to get to full guard but Medeiros has control of the leg.

Medeiros tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shifflett swivels and escapes.
Shifflett throws a lazy right hand but Medeiros sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Shifflett drops back, looking for a kneebar! Medeiros looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Medeiros looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Medeiros!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shifflett drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Medeiros manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shifflett has Medeiros in his guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Medeiros, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
