Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Funk!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funk throws a combination. Randall tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Randall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Funk drives through with a takedown into guard.
Funk wants to control from the top but Randall keeps moving.
Funk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Funk controls from within his opponent's guard.
Funk's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Randall is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Randall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Funk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Randall seems to be working for a kimura but Funk defends the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Funk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Funk has Randall up against the cage in a clinch.
Randall has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Funk is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Randall gets control of Funk's arms and successfully pulls guard. Randall will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Funk has Randall pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Randall manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Funk jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Randall walks away with a smile on his face. Funk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Frank Funk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Funk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
