The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hife tries to clinch up.
Hife swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
BAGCAL swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Hife moves into the clinch.

Hife breaks from the clinch.
BAGCAL throws a series of punches but Hife avoids them all with ease.
BAGCAL throws a right hand that Hife ducks under and follows up with a left that Hife also avoids with ease.
BAGCAL misses with a two punch combination.
BAGCAL swinging wildly here.
BAGCAL misses with a few strikes there.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hife breaks the clinch.
BAGCAL could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Hife feints and as BAGCAL raises his hands in defense, Hife changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

BAGCAL has his foot on Hife's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hife works his way back into a safe position though.
Hife loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

BAGCAL is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

BAGCAL working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Hife has passed into half guard!
Hife wants to stand up but BAGCAL is controlling the position.

BAGCAL is refusing to be controlled, as Hife sits in half guard.
Hife looks gassed!

BAGCAL looking for submissions off his back.

BAGCAL is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hife pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hife in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BAGCAL manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hife wants to control from the top but BAGCAL keeps moving.

Hife got a little sloppy there for a moment and BAGCAL has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hife has managed to get both his arms back between BAGCAL's legs - danger averted.

Hife tries to stand but BAGCAL is controlling from the bottom.
Hife throwing strikes from guard but BAGCAL blocks nicely.
BAGCAL trying to keep a closed guard but Hife is proving a slippery customer.
Hife must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
BAGCAL is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

BAGCAL is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
BAGCAL stops Hife from getting back to his feet.

BAGCAL seems to be working for a kimura but Hife defends the submission attempt.

BAGCAL is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hife is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
