Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcin Najman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Efrain Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Najman comes to the cage accompanied by panic at the disco-i write sins not tragedies. Tavares has chosen Here Comes The Nightmare as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares throws a lazy right hand but Najman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Najman keeps the fight on the outside.
Najman fails in his attempt to clinch.
Najman could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tavares throws a right and a left that both miss.
Najman has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Najman there as he acknowledges the shot.

and Najman counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Tavares is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Najman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tavares is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Najman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Tavares is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tavares remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marcin Najman will probably get the nod.
