Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jukka Hilden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hilden comes to the cage accompanied by Sandstorm. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeff Austin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hilden closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hilden throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Austin is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hilden is looking for a kimura but Austin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hilden to get the leverage.
Hilden stops Austin from getting back to his feet.
Hilden content to control rather than advance.
Austin is looking to escape.
Hilden throwing shots but Austin is blocking nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hilden is looking to clinch.

Hilden with a flurry of punches that miss.
Austin wants to stand and escape but Hilden is having none of it.

Hilden drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Austin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hilden has Austin in his guard.

Hilden is looking for a triangle but Austin pushes his legs off easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Austin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Hilden working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Austin.
Hilden avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Austin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hilden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Austin has managed to get both his arms back between Hilden's legs - danger averted.
Austin wants to control from the top but Hilden keeps moving.
Austin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hilden works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hilden has his foot on Austin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Austin works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Oh but Hilden is tightening it up a little... Austin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Austin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Austin taps out! nice BJJ there by Hilden!
