Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Natt Huges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Quik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quik is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Z-ro ft. Devin the Dude - Hit'em with The Mule. Natt Huges could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jamal Quik's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huges has Quik up against the cage in a clinch.
Huges manages to break the clinch.
Quik misses with a looping right.
Huges looks for a takedown but Quik sprawls well.
Huges closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Quik to the mat! Quik manages to get full guard.
Quik keeping moving, preventing Huges from controlling successfully.
Huges looking to sit in guard and control but Quik gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Huges working a defensive guard but Quik manages to pass into side control anyway.
Huges pushes Quik away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Quik gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Huges tries to buck Quik off but Quik is having none of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Huges tries to bench press Quik off him but Quik keeps the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Huges takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Quik fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Huges manages to avoid it.

Quik pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Quik just misses with a punch to the body.
Quik throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Huges will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Quik throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Huges stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Huges is breathing heavily.
Huges shoots in but Quik avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Quik lands with a hook. Huges tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Huges misses with a takedown attempt - Quik sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Quik throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Huges changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Quik tries to avoid it but Huges manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Quik to the ground. Quik escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Quik misses with a jab, cross combination.
Huges shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Quik but Quik pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Huges darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Quik manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Quik tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Quik is pulling down on Huges's head. It's preventing any offense from Huges, at least for the moment.
Quik pushes Huges off and gets back to his feet.

and Huges counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Huges cracks Quik with a solid left hand.

Quik is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Huges stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Quik swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Quik pulls Huges in close to his closed guard and prevents Huges from doing any damage or advancing position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
