The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potempkin scores with a kick to the midsection.
Vasquel lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Potempkin lands a head kick!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Vasquel.
Potempkin throws a right and a left that Vasquel avoids nicely.
Vasquel closes the distance and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vasquel pulls guard successfully.
Potempkin wants to pass the guard but Vasquel is keeping the position.
Potempkin trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasquel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vasquel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Potempkin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Vasquel is tightening it up a little... Potempkin has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Potempkin reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Potempkin taps out! nice BJJ there by Vasquel!
