Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ramon Samara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edmond Dantes!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Samara finds it's way round the side to connect with Dantes's head.
Dantes slips a jab and a cross from Samara.
Samara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dantes tries to clinch there but Samara circles away.
Dantes throws out a loose jab but Samara uses good head movement to avoid it.
Dantes throws a right and a left that both miss.
Samara misses with a double jab

and Dantes counters by moving into the clinch.
Samara gets underhooks to prevent Dantes's takedown attempt.
Dantes is working Samara over against the cage.
Dantes looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Samara blocks a body shot from Dantes.

Dantes breaks the clinch.
Samara comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Samara throws a lazy right hand but Dantes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Dantes closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dantes lands in his opponent's guard.

Dantes throws a big right hand that misses.
Dantes in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Dantes postures up in Samara's guard and throws a big left but Samara blocks it.
Samara is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dantes is controlling him.
Dantes is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Dantes throws a strike but Samara rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Samara stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dantes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dantes wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Samara pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dantes is keeping the position for now.

Dantes is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Samara frees his head nicely. Oh but Dantes has switched to an armbar! Samara is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
