The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilmore moves forwards but Fox connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Gilmore shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fox but Fox pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gilmore gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Fox throws an overhand right that lands on Gilmore's shoulder, as Gilmore tries to avoid the shot.
Fox ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gilmore steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fox.
Fox misses with the combination.
Fox paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Gilmore takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gilmore throws a big shot that misses.
Gilmore throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fox.
Fox scores with a one two! Gilmore had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
