Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Owen Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kaden Drake!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee moves into range and clinches up with Drake.
Drake takes a knee to the side of the body.
Lee stalling.
Drake tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lee just stands there and leans against the cage.
Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lee breaks from the clinch.
Drake shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Drake is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Drake seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Lee has recovered full guard.
Lee is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Drake trying to control but Lee is working from the bottom.
Drake tries to free his leg and advance position but Lee is retaining full guard.
Drake is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Drake passes Lee's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Drake prevents Lee from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Drake is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lee has managed to free his arm - good work.
Drake is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lee sees it coming and defends easily.
Drake wants to free his trapped foot but Lee is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Lee on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lee tries to get out of the position.
Lee is looking to escape.
Drake tries to pass to full mount but Lee defends it.
Lee is trying to stand back up but Drake is controlling him
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Drake is stalling here. Lee is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Drake seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lee has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lee lands with a kick to the temple. Drake shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Lee forces Drake back against the cage and clinches.
Lee taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Drake changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Drake manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Drake shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well.
Owen Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaden Drake.
Lee stuffs the takedown attempt from Drake. Drake gets slowly back to his feet.
Drake looks gassed!
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.
Drake tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes.
Drake avoids the head kick by Lee.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lee! Drake is out on his feet! Lee rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Drake is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Drake is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Owen Lee!
