The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

ketchup gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows opal to score an easy takedown into full guard.

opal got a little sloppy there for a moment and ketchup has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, opal has managed to get both his arms back between ketchup's legs - danger averted.

opal stands up from guard. Let's bang!
ketchup throws the kick towards the body but opal avoids it.
opal avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A clash of legs there as ketchup blocks the low kick.
opal shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as ketchup sprawls well. ketchup wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. opal gets slowly back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with opal in particular looking to stall.

and opal counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps ketchup thinking.

and opal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in ketchup's guard.
