Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zackary Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erick Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adams comes to the cage accompanied by Life is Real- Mos Def. Martinez has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Zackary Adams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams instigates a clinch.
Martinez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Adams controlling the action here for a moment.
Adams tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Martinez smiles and moves away.
Adams cracks the inside of Martinez's front leg.
Martinez wants to clinch up but Adams keeps it at a distance.
Martinez looks to land a combination but Adams avoids it well.

Adams checks a low kick from Martinez.
Adams throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Martinez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Martinez tries to bum rush Adams with a series of wild strikes but Adams uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Adams gets a takedown into half guard.
Adams missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Adams seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Adams has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Martinez looks gassed!

Adams throwing strikes here but Martinez is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Adams moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Martinez has worked his arm free - good work by Martinez!

An elbow from Adams crashes against the mat.
Martinez pushes Adams away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Adams gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Adams looking to control but instead Martinez has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Martinez stands up out of the half guard.

Martinez swats away the attempt to clinch by Adams.

Adams bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Adams tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Martinez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Adams has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Adams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Martinez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Adams tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Adams has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Martinez is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Adams swings around for an armbar but Martinez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Adams's guard.

Martinez would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Martinez wants to stand and escape but instead Adams has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Adams postures up in Martinez's guard and throws a big left but Martinez blocks it.

Adams drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Adams jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Adams wants to control from the top but Martinez keeps moving.

Martinez tries to keep at a distance but Adams has taken the fight into the clinch.

Adams looking for a guillotine here but Martinez defends easily.
Adams is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Martinez is breathing heavily.

Adams is trying to control the position but Martinez postures up.

Adams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Martinez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Adams quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Martinez has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Adams celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
