Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Stein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beast Severn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stein's entrance music is Rolling Stones - Paint it Black. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stein drives through with a takedown into guard.

Severn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Stein has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Stein cracks Severn with a solid left hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Severn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stein controls the pace.
Stein stands and throws Severn's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Severn tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Stein working the ground and pound from side control.
Severn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Stein is looking to take a break and control but Severn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Severn looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Severn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Stein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Stein's back!
Stein breaks Severn's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Stein throws a strike but Severn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Severn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stein is keeping the position for now.

Severn got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stein has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Severn has managed to get both his arms back between Stein's legs - danger averted.

Stein is looking for a triangle here but Severn uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Severn is working to tighten is grip on Stein's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Stein has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Severn is really squeezing tight and eventually Stein passes out! Severn breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
