Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Cigano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Perereca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cigano comes into the arena with Rocky Balboa Theme blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cigano closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Perereca gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Perereca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cigano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Cigano shoots in and bounces Perereca off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cigano uses his free foot to push down on Perereca's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Perereca.
The referee warns Perereca that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Perereca is in a horrible position here. Cigano smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Cigano looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cigano postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Perereca looks a forlorn figure.
Cigano takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cigano bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Perereca's head backwards.

and Cigano counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Perereca closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Perereca drops his hands momentarily. Cigano doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Perereca staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Perereca doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
