Thompson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Yo Yo Scrape by Skinny Puppy. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matola connects with a good right hand that stumbles Thompson. Thompson circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Matola lands with a hook. Thompson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Thompson closes the distance and clinches up with Matola, looking for a takedown. Thompson pushes Matola against the cage but Matola circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
