Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Davi Dos Jaques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and henry six (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Davi Dos Jaques!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, henry six!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

six feints and as Dos Jaques raises his hands in defense, six changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
six content to stall in guard here.
six's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Dos Jaques will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
six throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
six prevents Dos Jaques from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dos Jaques is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Dos Jaques can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as six controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dos Jaques throws a series of punches but six avoids them all with ease.

six tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Dos Jaques is able to avoid easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ground and pound from six seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

six remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

six postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dos Jaques looks a forlorn figure.

six lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
six pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
I looks like six might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

six lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

six is nestled in close to Dos Jaques, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
six has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


six rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dos Jaques moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

six closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
six looks up at the clock and then as Dos Jaques takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, six smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Despite being in the dominant position, henry six just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

henry six comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well six has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
