The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jovanovitch looks to score with a jab to the body but Fairtex is just out of range.

Fairtex shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fairtex was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Fairtex is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jovanovitch can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Fairtex goes for an armbar but Jovanovitch turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jovanovitch.

Fairtex isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jovanovitch stacks Fairtex on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jovanovitch!
Fairtex tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Jovanovitch darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Fairtex's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Jovanovitch before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
