PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Travis Pintravon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Mishima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mishima is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Super Troopers German Techno. Shinya Mishima told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pintravon throws a head kick but Mishima moves out of range.
Pintravon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mishima takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Mishima has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pintravon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mishima is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Mishima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pintravon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pintravon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mishima is looking to sinch up a triangle. Pintravon throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mishima's body to avoid the submission. Mishima has instead reached around Pintravon's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mishima arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
