The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonesy throws a hook but Grecosaurus blocks it.

Grecosaurus has managed to clinch.
Grecosaurus avoiding damage.
Grecosaurus wants a takedown.
Jonesy jumps guard but Grecosaurus stands there with Jonesy around his waist. Jonesy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jonesy tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Grecosaurus smiles and moves away.
Jonesy scores with a nice strike.

Grecosaurus darts in and clinches Jonesy up against the cage.
Jonesy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Grecosaurus walks away with a smile on his face. Jonesy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pop Jonesy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jonesy misses with a series of wild punches.
Jonesy scores with the left hand. Grecosaurus knows he should have avoided that one.
Jonesy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Grecosaurus.

It looks like Pentti Grecosaurus has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Grecosaurus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jonesy lands with a shot to the body.

The fighters circle momentarily. Jonesy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Jonesy lands a big uppercut and Grecosaurus crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Grecosaurus looks OK. Jonesy waves Grecosaurus back to his feet!

Grecosaurus is rocked!
Horrible takedown by Grecosaurus or perhaps it was just good defense by Jonesy which made him look bad.
Grecosaurus is still on wobbly legs! Can Jonesy finish him?

and Grecosaurus counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jonesy's guard now.
Jonesy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grecosaurus manages to get himself to full guard.
Grecosaurus seems to have recovered his senses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jonesy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jonesy wants to pass the guard but Grecosaurus is keeping the position.
Jonesy trying to control but Grecosaurus is working from the bottom.

Grecosaurus being controlled here, momentarily.
Grecosaurus wants to sweep but no luck.
Jonesy missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jonesy looking to sit in guard and control but Grecosaurus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Grecosaurus throwing strikes but missing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jonesy connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Grecosaurus momentarily.
Pop Jonesy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jonesy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grecosaurus moves out of range as Jonesy strikes.
Jonesy is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Jonesy lands a nice hook to Grecosaurus's body. Grecosaurus takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
No joy there for Jonesy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jonesy is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Jonesy dives in and grabs Grecosaurus's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grecosaurus pushes down on Jonesy's head and hops out.
Jonesy connects with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jonesy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Grecosaurus ducks right into an uppercut from Jonesy.
Grecosaurus shoots for a takedown but Jonesy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jonesy scores with a jab to the head.
Grecosaurus dodges the punch combination from Jonesy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Grecosaurus is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jonesy's half guard.
Jonesy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jonesy throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jonesy throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Grecosaurus stumbling backwards into the cage! Grecosaurus bounces back off the cage towards Jonesy, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Jonesy lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Jonesy celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
