Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Hosking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimundo Kawaguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hosking comes to the cage accompanied by War Machine. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matthew Hosking!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Raimundo Kawaguchi!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hosking shoots in but Kawaguchi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hosking looks for a takedown but Kawaguchi sprawls well.
Hosking shoots for a takedown but Kawaguchi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Kawaguchi looks up at the clock and then as Hosking takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kawaguchi smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hosking tries to get to his feet but Kawaguchi is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Hosking in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hosking swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Kawaguchi is now in Hosking's guard. A big mistake from Hosking there, giving up the dominant position!

Kawaguchi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hosking manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kawaguchi has Hosking in his guard.

Hosking wants to stand up but Kawaguchi is controlling the position.
Hosking lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hosking prevents Kawaguchi from improving his position.
Hosking is keen to just control but Kawaguchi is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
