Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stas Tarasenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fedor Emelianenko !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stas Tarasenko!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarasenko misses with a takedown attempt - Emelianenko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tarasenko wants to clinch up but Emelianenko keeps it at a distance.
Emelianenko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tarasenko closes the distance and clinches up with Emelianenko , looking for a takedown. Tarasenko pushes Emelianenko against the cage but Emelianenko circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tarasenko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fedor Emelianenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stas Tarasenko.
Tarasenko gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Emelianenko .


It looks like Stas Tarasenko has been cut.
Tarasenko wants to clinch up but Emelianenko keeps it at a distance.

Tarasenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko avoids it really well and circles away.
Tarasenko shoots for a double leg takedown but Emelianenko sprawls well. He's pushed Tarasenko's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tarasenko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Emelianenko has him pressed against the cage.

Emelianenko is pressed up against the cage. Tarasenko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Emelianenko down to the mat. Emelianenko avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tarasenko shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Tarasenko tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Emelianenko clobbers Tarasenko with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Emelianenko tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tarasenko tries to reverse the position but Emelianenko maintains control.

Emelianenko thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Tarasenko if he has to take too many more of those.

and Emelianenko decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tarasenko's guard.

Emelianenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tarasenko circles away quickly and effectively.

Emelianenko has hold of one of Tarasenko's legs. Tarasenko is fighting the takedown attempt but Emelianenko gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Emelianenko lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Emelianenko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tarasenko.

and Emelianenko counters with a shoot takedown. Tarasenko fights it but they end up in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Emelianenko is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tarasenko can do to turn this around?

Emelianenko wants to pass the guard but Tarasenko is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tarasenko is looking for a sweep. Emelianenko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Emelianenko gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tarasenko regains guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Emelianenko has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tarasenko's face.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Emelianenko seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tarasenko for as long as he can get away with.
