The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vermillion shoots in but no luck this time.
Aoi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Vermillion counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aoi won't be happy with that.
Vermillion wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aoi keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vermillion tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
